I just became a reseller with makemoneysellingdomainnames to resell web hosting and domain names. I joined because I build a decent amount of web sites for my own use. I wondered why a lot of webmasters and IT people are not in the business as a distributor. I drive a taxi and talk to a lot of IT people, and almost none of them take advantage of controlling the cost of accommodation web. Is not that strange? Any comments welcome.

"In fact, a lot of people, including webmasters, IT professionals, and others are in the hosting and domain the resale business. Certainly, there are at least "tens of thousands", and possibly hundreds of thousands of "web hosting" companies there, most run by people who also do web development work. Some professionals do it "in secret" to create a company apparently separated that used to record and host client sites. Many do so openly, telling clients that they own the hosting company or registration. The professionals who make resell web-hosting or domain registration services – often believe that their sole responsibility should be based on your time, not the resale price of services potentially inflated. In addition, some choose not to sell anything other than their own services, because they recognize that over time, the level of service in most hosting and registration companies can change. In the last 12 years I have organized my websites and customers in several dozen different servers (including dedicated servers, colocated servers, and many shared servers), and domains registered with many different registrars. Recently consolidated all my records into a single record and consolidated all the accommodations, a single provider, but most likely I will move some or all of this within 12 months.
